Conference Venue

The conference plenary sessions and coffee breaks will be taking place at the NOD building, in Kista (see the map below).

Getting to the conference venue

To get to Kista from downtown Stockholm by Metro, take the blue line towards Akalla (not Hjulsta). From the central station, this is a 20-minute ride.

The venue address is Borgarfjordsgatan 12, NOD building, 164 40, Stockholm, Sweden.

Conference Lunch breaks

The conference lunch breaks will be taking place at the restaurant of Memory Hotel located right across the conference venue. The hotel address is Borgarfjordsgatan 3, 164 25 Kista (see the map below).


Conference Welcome reception

The IDA2016 reception will be taking place at the Stockholm City Hall on Oct 13 @19:00 in The Prince’s Gallery. The gallery runs along City Hall’s southern long side and is primarily used for the reception of honoured guests. The French windows running the length of the Gallery’s south side offer a wonderful view of Lake Mälaren and Södermalm. This panorama is reflected on the Gallery’s opposite wall in the form of an al fresco called “Stockholm’s Shores” created by Prince Eugen, artist and brother of the Swedish King Gustav V.


Complimentary shuttle bus service will depart from the NOD building at 18:00 on Oct 13. Alternatively, the participants can take a taxi or the metro (blue line); the stop is Rådhuset.

Conference Banquet dinner

The IDA2016 banquet will be taking place on Oct 14 @19:00 at Skansen Museum and Zoo. Complimentary shuttle bus service will depart from the NOD building at 18:00 on Oct 14.  Alternatively, the participants can take a taxi or the metro (blue line) to Kungsträdgården and from there tram Nr. 7 to Djurgården Waldemarsudde; the stop is Skansen.
